  • Easy to operate and service

Our Range of Relay and Optocoupler Modules

Brief Current Peaks – Fatal Consequences

When lighting systems are switched on, significant current peaks occur that reach more than 100 times the rated current. Even if this peak lasts for just a few milliseconds, it can cause the relay contacts to fuse. Learn here how our relays operate to get the most out of your systems over a long service life.

Relay Sockets with a Miniature Switching Relay (788 Series)

WAGO's 788 Series Relay Sockets are ideal for switching applications in both industrial and process automation. These modules can be used either with two channels or for reliably switching higher loads (e.g., lamp loads) up to 16 A.

Advantages:
  • Quick and simple elementary relay replacement after a failure
  • Compact housing: just 15 mm (0.590 inch) wide
  • Commoning options on both control and load side
  • Tool-free connection via Push-in CAGE CLAMP®

Relay Modules with a Miniature Switching Relay and Optocoupler Modules (859 Series)

WAGO's 859 Series Relay Modules with a Miniature Switching Relay and Optocoupler Modules are ideal for any industrial interface applications. Their slim design saves valuable control cabinet space. Simple commoning at the control and load side streamlines looping through of common input and output potentials.

Advantages:
  • Versatile relay modules for AC and DC applications
  • Slim 6 mm (0.236 inch) housing saves space
  • Low-profile design for optimum use in terminal boxes
  • Front-side jumpers streamline connections
  • Top-of-unit LED for status signal indication
  • Proven CAGE CLAMP® connection technology

Pluggable Relay Modules (2042 Series)

WAGO's 2042 Series Pluggable Relay Modules plug directly onto the carrier terminal blocks from the WAGO TOPJOB® S Rail-Mount Terminal Block System for easy and secure installation. This combination of rail-mount terminal blocks and relay modules saves the user an extra wiring level. Incredibly robust, the 2042 Series Modules withstand high vibration and shock loads, and meet both DIN EN 61373 (vibration and shock) and DIN EN 50121-3-2 (EMC) railway standard requirements.

Advantages:
  • Pluggable for WAGO Rail-Mount Terminal Blocks TOPJOB® S
  • Input voltage ranges from 16.8 V to 253 V
  • Designed for a temperature range of −40°C to +70°C
  • Ideal for railway and industrial applications thanks to EN 50155 and EN 61010 (safety regulations for electronic devices)

DIN-Rail-Mount Carriers with a Miniature Switching Relay (287/288 Series)

WAGO's fully wired DIN-rail-mount carriers with a miniature switching relay (287/288 Series) provide direct, in-the-field switching of actuators and other coupling elements. They also permit fast and easy peripheral signal connections.

Advantages:
  • Faster and easier connection of peripheral signals
  • Pluggable relays for rapid and simple replacement
  • Easily connect conductors ranging from 0.08 to 2.5 mm2 (28–14 AWG)

Relay Modules in a DIN-Rail-Mount Enclosure(789 Series)

WAGO's 789 Series Relay Modules serve a wide variety of applications, from basic lighting control in building installations to industrial control cabinet installations. Just 17.5 mm (0.689 inch) wide, the compact DIN-rail-mount enclosure is ideal for distribution boards and meter cabinets.

Advantages:

Maximize Space in the Control Cabinet

New Solid-State Relay Module with Lower Power Dissipation at Higher Load Current

Maximizing the limited space available is the primary goal in control cabinet manufacturing. WAGO's new solid-state relay module (SSR module) can help: It switches a limiting continuous current up to 8 A. Due to low power loss, significantly less heat is generated. Thus, with the same total power loss, a higher packing density, i.e. a larger number of switching elements, can be realized in the control cabinet. SSR modules are ideal for applications where a coupling level between the PLC and the load to be switched is required. Because they work without moving parts, there is no mechanical wear. As a result, they achieve a long service life, switch noiselessly and are unaffected by shock and vibration. WAGO's SSR modules use sockets that are pin-compatible with standard relays. This greatly simplifies relay replacement.

Your Benefits:
  • New SSR module now switches loads up to 8 A.
  • Lower power dissipation reduces heat generation and allows for higher packing density.
